New Choir of Mt. Vernon appears for the fourth time since its founding, and for the first time beyond the walls of Emmanuel Church. The Rivers are Our Brothers is a reflective piece on personification with nature, written by Majel Connery and recorded in choral arrangement by Chanticleer. As young and exploratory choir, this is the first semi-concert-length piece NCMV will present in full, and we do so alongside related pieces by Marie-Claire Saindon, and Gabriela Lena Frank.
